Place a Kaisercraft Berry Vine and Bird Cage at the top of a jumbo tag and draw around them.
Spread Black embossing paste through the leaf section from the Build a Blossom SiSi to cover the pencilled areas.
Paint black gesso over the dried stencilled tag and wooden embellishments.
Paint over the stencilled areas with white gesso (this will help the colour layers to stand out more).
Spritz Frosty Frolic Green Starburst over the leaves, allow to run a little and dry with a heat gun.
Over spray in a few sections with Time Travel Teal Starburst, using a little water to help move it around if required, and dry with a heat gun.
Add a few drips of Rusty Lantern Lime Starburst and allow it to run. If your ink runs into places you're not happy with dab with tissue to remover the excess. Dry with a heat gun.
Using a small brush drip Frolic in the Forest Black Starburst down from the top of the tag and add a few splashes too. Dry with a heat gun.
Having previously used Wendy Vecchi's instructions to cut up my Lots of Leaves Background Stamp I took the single lines and bent them on my acrylic stamp block. This meant I could stamp trailing vines with embossing ink prior to adding Fern Green Embossing Powder. Heat set with a heat gun.
To highlight the stencilling I mixed a little Cornflower Blue, Sky Blue and Fern Green Embossing Powders together, replaced the stencil, applied embossing ink and scattered the mixed Powders over the top. Once again these were heat set with a heat gun.
I heat embossed the Berry Vine wooden embellishment with a mix of Fern Green and Tree Branch Embossing Powders.
I stamped the small flower head from the Art And You stamp set with embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Using a detailer brush I painted each flower with Abandoned Coral Distress Spray Stain before cutting them out.
Now it was time to assemble the tag. I glued the Berry Vine and Bird Cage back in place before adding the flower heads under and over the cage. White Pearl Embellishments were added to the flower centres and across the rest of the tag. Finally I stamped one of the sentiments from the All Occasion Art stamp set in white pigment ink and added a seam binding bow to the top. The tag was mounted onto a tall card blank. And here's the finished card (with a couple of close ups)...
I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial and give it a go. We'll be back on Monday with to announce the latest challenge winners so make sure you join us for that.
Whatever you're up to this weekend have a great one.
