Saturday StepXStep

well it is Trace here with a Saturday StepXStep. This Saturday I have create a step by step tutorial for this tag make here :
 So here is the StepXStep:

Start with some Of Linda's fab corrugated Kraft card and two tags. By layering these as below you get the corrugated texture and also flat parts to ink and stamp on.

then layer the torn tag onto the corrugate cardstock and then onto the tag as below

Now coat the tag in gesso and then when dry add some texture paste through a stencil of your choice, I used a  Dylusions stencil. Then set aside to dry.

Then apply ink in frayed burlap and then walnut stain around the edges. I then sanded some of the ink off to reveal some of the textures below.

Now to finish the background I inked up a stamp From the Artistic Outpost set Generation Redux , You can use parts of stamps without a block to create detail in the background.

Now onto the focal image, from the same stamp set...The main image was stamped in coffee archival and torn out. Then I inked the whole piece in frayed burlap and covered which clear embossing powder. Some of this was then tapped off before heating...

then heated and walnut stain applied where the embossing ink was not...to give a textured finish

Finally the tag was completed by layering the stamped image and adding lots of yummy idea-ology. The sentiment is from Artistic Outpost Think and Wonder set

Well hope you like this StepXStep.

  2. MASSIVE round of applause for this one Trace!!! It's only when we get to see step by steps that we really understand how much work and attention to detail goes into creating it sometimes. I love how you have used the base layering of card and corrugated card with sanded stencilling to set everything off. Amazing creativity as ever, hugs Jenny x
