Challenge Winners - Haberdashery

Hi everyone! Today we announce our top picks from the 'Haberdashery' challenge. We loved seeing your gorgeous entries incorporating items found in a haberdashery in a variety of ways. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun.

After taking time to look at each entry the Design Team finally chose #17 Lyla Larimore as our overall winner. We've included the pictures of each side of these amazing tags so you can see just how much time and effort Lyla took with them. A visit to her blog post is highly recommended as she includes a helpful tutorial and close ups so you can see more of the beautiful details. Congratulations to Lyla on being our favourite and winning the opportunity to be a Guest Designer here at Frilly and Funkie for a future challenge. You will be contacted shortly with all the details.

And now for the three winners of our Frilly and Funkie Top 3 Badges for this challenge; the choices this time were, in numerical order; #10 oops.designs, #13 Cathy Frailey and #16 Drea Slee. Please email Linda at for the codes for the Top 3 badges so that you can display them proudly on your blog.

And finally we have a randomly chosen lucky winner for the $25 gift certificate to The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Our congratulations this time go to #14 Michelle Gorel! Please email Linda at for the gift certificate details.

A big thank you again from the Frilly and Funkie team to everyone who took part in this challenge and congratulations to all our winners. The current challenge, 'All Creatures Great and Small' runs through Tuesday, September 25th and the Design Team will be back here on Wednesday September 19th with some more inspiration for you. We hope to see you entering this time around so that you too can be in with a chance to win.

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Huge well deserved congratulations to Lyla and all our winners who really pulled out all the stops for this challenge!

  2. WOW, this is great, big congrats to you!!!!

  3. I nearly freaked out doing a double-take; checking into the page on Tuesday & finding MY OWN entries staring back at me! I still hafta pinch myself when I think "Somebody actually LIKES my handiwork!!", when I DO love my own work & am pleased... MOST of the time... I still find it hard to fathom others like it, too.
I faced a lot of life-challenges this past weekend; the reason for my late checkin & also not grabbing the FB post. I also haven't had a chance to see EVERYONE ELSE'S entries, yet, either. As I will explain on my "All Creatures..." entry post (very related story), it's been a heck of a week, but I am VERY THANKFUL it's getting better again!!!
THANX, everyone, for all the kind, SWEET comments!!!
