Welcome to today's Guest Designer, Nancy!

Today we are welcoming Nancy of ShelbyDoodle Designs as our Guest Designer. Nancy was the DT winner for the 'Anything Goes' challenge and therefore was invited to join us as Guest Designer.

Let's move on to hear from Nancy.

Hi Everyone! I’m Nancy from Shelbydoodle Designs. I have always been a crafter in one form or another beginning with childhood memories of creating gimp bracelets at the local playground and recreational center. In my later years I made gravestone rubbings and other funky artwork for my college dorm, then macramé plant hangers for my apartment. I didn’t actually begin paper crafting in the sense of scrapbooking or card making until just a few years ago, when I began scrapping newspaper articles on my pet boarding facility along with some photos of my furry guests. I’ve come a long way since then, making my way through all sorts of styles, from frilly to funky. My favorite outlet is in altering a thrift store find. There’s nothing more satisfying to me than seeing the transformation from trash to treasure, and knowing that others missed the opportunity.

When I learned that I’d won the recent challenge ‘Anything Goes’, with my shabby chic layered Valentine card, I was thrilled. The project was definitely a peek into my “frilly” side. When I was asked to create a project for the current challenge ‘Be My Valen-Twine’ I opted to create an altered canvas, a project showing more of my “funky” side. I was asked to use twine in my project.

After giving it some thought, I decided that instead of tying my twine in some fashion, that I would roll it into flowers. I really like how it turned out.

Thanks so much to all of you amazing and talented folks at Frilly and Funky for this opportunity to guest design, and to all of you for visiting my blog.

I'm sure you'll all agree that Nancy's project is gorgeous! Thank you Nancy!

You've still got time to join us for the current challenge of 'Be My Valen-Twine' and I'm sure that Nancy's project has provided even more inspiration !
