"Hello, my name is Anne Redfern (or Redanne as I am known in Blogland). Since emigrating from Canada 40 years ago I have lived in the beautiful County of Cheshire in England.
I have always loved crafting, in any form, be it sewing, knitting or paper-crafting. About 7 years ago I took early retirement after a long and rewarding career in Human Resources. Since the family had long flown the nest, I was tempted, after seeing a demo in a Craft shop, to buy a Big Shot and a couple of dies and the rest, as they say, is history! I particularly love creating in 3D but my latest love is mixed media and although I have only fairly recently dipped my toes into this amazing form of art, I really am completely hooked!"
"Nancy's challenge theme of Pastels and Pearls gave me the opportunity to create another 'frilly' type project but I also managed to get a bit of the 'funkie' side in there too....
I created a mini album using some waste corrugated card, my Eileen Hull Passport Book die and lots of paint, crackle, ribbon, lace and pearls.I hope you will find a little inspiration in my mini album and that you will join in Nancy's fabulous challenge!
I would like to thank Linda and the whole team at Frilly and Funkie for having me as Guest Designer today, it has truly been an honour and a privilege!"

We know you can't wait to pop over to Anne's blog to check out all the details of her wonderful project but then we hope you will come back with your own pastels and pearls project. You have lots of time since the Pastels and Pearls challenge does not end until June 28th at 11:55 pm EST.
This is completely adorable Anne! Corrugated card never looked so good and I love how you've incorporated the plaque, lace and pearls xx

Great to see you here Anne and your little book is just perfect for the challenge! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the distressed cardboard with the beautiful pink! Very happy to have you guest designing with us!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Anne!! Your mixed media mini is FABULOUS!! The texture with the corrugated board is outstanding, and the pastel pinks are so perfectly shabby. I've caught the mixed media 'bug' recently as well. I've been trying to think of ways to give it a feminine flair. You usually don't think of mixed media as having a frilly side, but you've proved that wrong. I love all of your work, and I have a new favorite to add to my list.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Nancy
