Friday Focus - Blueprint Stamps

Well it's Trace here for this week's Friday Focus and I have chosen the fab Blueprints stamps, with the latest additions to this wonderful range of stamps from Tim Holtz, designed by Mario's son.  There are so many to choose from you will be spoilt for choice! Also as they are the Friday Focus they will have an additional 15% off the already low prices that Linda offers in The Funkie Junkie Boutique (that mean the $23.95 sets are just $15.25 and the $29.95 sets are on sale for $20.35 while supplies last).  I love the fact that not only are there so many wonderful designs to choose from but they come in sets of mini blueprints too in the same design..cool eh!? So enough words, let's get started with some projects and a look at the stamps. Firstly the stamps, these come in a huge range of designs to suit all tastes.
So here are just a couple to wet your appetite:

these are the Mini Blueprints which have small versions of the 3 of the large stamp sets
on them. They are fab for tags and great for smaller makes and creating backgrounds.

and the larger size blueprints where each set is comprised of four large stamps. They are great to coordinate with the mini sets and also for focal images on larger pieces, including tags.

So firstly a tag, using both sets pictures above:

This tag shows how the small and large blueprints work so well together and how many ways they can be used in. I started by creating the background using distress inks and over stamping with images from Mini Blueprints 4, (pictured above). They are great for making layered stamped backgrounds. Then  I stamped the large clock image (Vintage Things Blueprint) and just used the clock part, as these images are so clear they can be easily cut out and used without the blueprint bit ( hope that makes sense?!).

I also used the stamps on the ribbon itself and also to make a little shrink plastic charm to hang from the tag.

Tags are a real love of mine, but this could easily be made into a great card.

Another idea is this little needle case, again using the mini blueprints..as a focal image and to create backgrounds.
(here the main image has been stamped twice and layered to create more dimension, as well as in the backgrounds)

Then because I know neutral colour palette is not everyone's cup of tea, how about a splash of colour with a mini canvas and gift bag:
( here the blueprint stamp has been stamped and coloured and also stamped and the main image cut out)
And finally an ATC, which has been on my blog but shows another way to use the blueprint stamps.
Well I will have full details of the makes at a later date but hope that you like my Blueprint makes, they truly are wonderful stamps and full of so many wonderful possibilities!

have a fun and inky one!

  10. Trace I love (again!!) what you've done here. It's great to see how the small stamps can be used for the layers and then the large for main focal points. Trouble is, that means I need them all doesn't it??!! I totally love colour dabble here on that sweet little canvas - stunning! So glad I popped over to have a look!
