Friday Focus - Venise Lace & Appliques

Hello everyone! It is Friday morning, which means it is time for another round of Friday Focus. This week, I am focusing on Venise Lace and Appliques... two of my favorite things to work with! I have created a card showing you just one way that you can use appliques.
First of all, if you want to give them some color, all you need to do is lightly spray them with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (I have used Vanilla Breeze). This is my favorite way but, you can also apply some Tim Holtz Distress Stains and Inks to them.
I have simply arranged them on my card and added some vintage cording I found at a flea market... jute string will work just as well, to make them look like a ballon bouquet. I then added some cute little venise tri-bud applique flowers and a couple of butterflies to them.
Then, to tie the balloons together, I used some venise lace that has strands of bows on it.  Just cut them apart and use them all by their cute little selves! That is it.... an easy peasy way to use these heart appliques.
Want to stock up on these hearts and bows? Well, head on over to Linda's new and improved boutique at TheFunkieJunkie.com and grab them while you can... all venise lace and appliques are on sale for an additional 15% off of her already fabulous prices and if that wasn't enough, starting Sept. 14 - 17th you can save an additional 10% for her grand opening (use the code GOPEN10).

Enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by today...
