Artist Trading Coins

Hi! Suzz here.   Welcome to our latest challenge!  The challenge this time is to create an Artist Trading Coin. I was inspired by a new way of capturing a little bit of art to share with others. Your challenge is to create a trading coin which should be a circle shape 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

The winner will earn the chance of a guest spot here at Frilly and Funkie, and everyone who enters and follows the rules will go into the draw for the chance to win a $25 spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. In addition, the Design Team will select three further outstanding entries and those creators will receive a Top Pick badge to display on their blogs!

The guidelines for entering are simple; create a new vintage or shabby chic project following the challenge theme, link it below to your post (not just your blog) and also include a link back to this challenge in your post. You can combine our challenge with up to 10 challenges (including this one) to be in with a chance of winning. If you are entering through a public forum (such as Instagram) you'll need to include the words Frilly and Funkie Challenge. Also, please be sure to turn off your Word Verification so our Design Team can leave comments on your blogs. Make sure you follow these rules as unfortunately we have had to eliminate entrants from the prize draws in the past.

To give you even more ideas we have the Funkie Side of the team's amazing inspiration:

  2. Q: Does the circle need to be EXACTLY 2 & 1/2 inches in diameter??

I’m having a bit of a quest in my dies to find anything closer than these:
    2 & 1/4 OR 2 & 3/4 in.
Just wondering if I need to specifically run out and get a 2 & 1/2 ??
Sounds picky, but... I AM. lol!

    1. Lyla, I will pass your question onto Suzanne, but you could always trace a circle and hand cut it. I traced the outside of one of my dies to get the correct size at first, but once I realized how addicting these coins are, I decided to invest in a punch. We certainly wouldn't want you missing a challenge over a 1/4 inch! Hugs!

    2. Thanks Sara Emily! Lyla absolutely use the slightly smaller or larger circle! You could do what Sara Emily suggested too! Looking forward to seeing what you create!
