Christmas Cards in July

Editor's Note; before we get started with our next challenge we have some news. Sadly the amazing Maggi Harding is stepping down from the team to pursue new creative adventures. We will all miss her so very much as a dedicated team mate, hugely talented artist and all round wonderful person - it will not be the same without her. Thank you Maggi for everything you've shared with us from your gorgeous projects and wealth of knowledge and experience, to your much treasured friendship - we will sorely miss it all.

Now for the challenge:

It is Cec here, your hostess for the new challenge here at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog and I decided to call this one 'Christmas Cards in July'!

If you are like me, you are anxious for 2020 to be over and done with. To speed things up let's pretend Christmas is around the corner even though it is only July and get a start on creating shabby chic or vintage inspired cards. This challenge is all about cards so please save other Christmas creations for later.

It is extra hot where I live and if it is where you live too then maybe this theme will help you think cool.

The winner will earn a chance to be a Guest Designer at a future date here at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog, and everyone who enters and follows the rules will go into the draw for the chance to win a gift certificate for a spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. There are also Top 3 Badges for three additional outstanding entries, chosen by the Design Team.

The guidelines for entering are simple; create a new vintage or shabby chic project following the challenge theme, link it below to your post (not just your blog) and also include a link back to this challenge in your post. You can combine our challenge with up to 10 challenges (including this one) to be in with a chance of winning. If you are entering through a public forum (such as Instagram) you'll need to include the words 'Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge'. Also, please be sure to turn off your Word Verification so our Design Team can leave comments on your blogs. Make sure you follow these rules as unfortunately, we have had to eliminate entrants from the prize draws in the past.

Our designers have created some wonderful inspiration for you and to get all the details just click on their blog name to be taken directly there;

Cec Wintonyk - CW Creations

Sara Emily Barker - sarascloset

Suzanne Czosek - Suzz's Stamping Spot

Jenny Marples - Pushing The Right Buttons

I hope you will play along with us and create some Christmas Cards in July! The challenge runs through 11:55 pm EDT on Tuesday, July 21st so there is lots of time to wow us and get a head start on the festive season.

  6. I'm so excited to see some familiar talented makers joining the challenge this time! So happy to see your gorgeous work, Cassie, #7, but I can't comment on Instagram and couldn't find the post of THAddicts FB page since they changed things up. Thank you for playing along!
