Lucky Shamrock Card

 Teri Wilson - TerisMailbox

Add Embossing to Your Die Cuts for Impact

Hi friends. It's Teri from TerisMailbox posting for The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I am sharing a Tree Rings embossed Shamock inspired by the new Heart Shaped Wood Slice Die Set.

Check out this sweet St. Patrick's Day card made with lots of layers!

I do have a YouTube video if you prefer to watch the process. (https://youtu.be/5m1XQgz0RRA)

Create the Focal Point

The focus of this card if the Embossed Shamrock. I used my Cricut to die cut large shamrocks using Kraft Cardstock. Coat the top layer of the Tree Ring Embossing Folder with Peeled Paint Archival Ink. Spritz with water, insert a piece of A2 size Kraft Paper in the folder and run through your die cut machine using the appropriate sandwich. Use Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink and a Blending Tool to add green to the edges.

Work on the Panels

Get an A2 Kraft Card base ready. Look through the Backdrops for a panel with green in it. I used a map like panel and trimmed it down. Using an A2 size Kraft Panel, stamp images from your selected Stamp Set. I used Etcetera which is an older set but there are many other appropriate sets that would work well such as Field Notes. I stamped some of the images in Lumberjack Plaid and others in Vintage Photo. Trim the stamped panel to be 1/4 inch smaller than the Background Panel. My panel ended up to be      5 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches.

Die Cut the Sentiment

I used an older sentiment die set (662684) to cut the word lucky and the shadow from green and Kraft Cardstock. Glue them together and set aside.

Assemble the Card

Attach the panels to the A2 card base with the stamped panel on top of the Backdrop Panel. Add foam tape to the back of the shamrock and add to the center at an angle. Glue the sentiment to the top right of the card and you are ready for the luck of the Irish!
